Marshall unveils new “Rookies” model for 2018-19 season
The NHL announced Thursday that it will make five new Rookies, each one of which will debut during the 2018-2019 season.
The NHL’s new Rooks are a new generation of Rookie prospects that will have the ability to make their NHL debut as a rookie in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, according to an NHL statement.
The new rookies will be selected by an NHL commissioner during the 2017 NHL Entry Combine in Toronto, and will then begin their careers with the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames.
The five rookies will make their official NHL debut in the 2017-2018 season, which will begin on Dec. 4, 2018.
