Man accused of trying to burn Israel’s ‘circuit boards’
New York City police have arrested a 37-year-old man on charges of trying in a federal lawsuit to burn Israeli circuit boards, a federal judge ruled Friday.
Michael N. Lipski, who was charged Friday with arson and obstruction of justice, was arrested in December on a charge of attempting to burn circuit boards at a Manhattan building.
Lipski was one of two men who claimed they were members of a group of hackers who hacked into computers at the Department of Energy and other government agencies to find vulnerabilities.
In a court filing, prosecutors alleged Lipskis group was behind a hacking campaign targeting government and private organizations.
