Which electronics are most expensive?
More than three-quarters of the electronics in a car sold in the U.S. are not made in the United States, according to the U,S.
Chamber of Commerce.
The chamber’s annual study of electronics, which tracks more than 1,500 manufacturers and suppliers, found that the top-selling electronics in the country in 2016 was a computer running Apple Inc. A total of 3,979 products were listed in the study.
Apple, Google Inc. and Microsoft Corp. all made up a large part of the top 10 list of most expensive electronics in 2016, which is expected to increase next year.
The report, released Monday, shows that most of the high-tech gadgets on the market are made overseas.
That’s despite the fact that the U.,S.
is home to more than 50 percent of the world’s population.
The Chamber’s report also found that more than 40 percent of all electronics sold in 2016 were made in China.
China accounts for roughly 50 percent the world market, and it accounts for about half of the global market in computer and digital appliances.
