How to build a Bluetooth wireless router for $199 on Amazon (TechRadar)
Amazon’s cheapest Bluetooth wireless kit, the Amazon Blaze Bluetooth Wireless Router, can be yours for just $199 if you buy it from Amazon’s own website.
The Blaze has a sleek design, features 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and a microUSB 3.0 port, all of which Amazon claims are all “compatible with all of Amazon’s popular products.”
It also has a small speaker on the side, and Amazon sells the Blaze in two colors—black and grey—as well as in two versions: a standard and a black variant.
The standard Blaze can be ordered in black, grey, or black-on-black for $129, and the black-to-grey Blaze for $139.99.
The Black-to, Grey-on, and Grey-to Grey-On Blaze comes in either the standard or black version, and both are available now for $149.99, $249.99 (with free shipping), and $299.99 on Amazon.com.
The white-to black Blaze is the cheapest model, but it also offers a speaker and is available for $179.99 and $249 with free shipping.
Amazon has yet to list a price for the grey-to grey Blaze, but we’ve heard that it is about the same price as the standard Blaze, so that could mean that it may not be sold in bulk.
The price of the Blaze varies from $249 to $349.99 depending on how many Bluetooth chips you have, and it will work with any device that supports Bluetooth 4 and up.
Amazon’s Blaze wireless router also includes Bluetooth 2.1, so you’ll be able to pair it with any compatible device.
The Bluetooth wireless device also includes a small USB 2.0 hub that plugs into the back of the router and works with most Bluetooth headsets, and you can plug the USB 2 on the back into your computer, Mac, or other USB ports.
This USB 2 port is not included in the Blaze wireless device.
If you’re planning to buy the Blaze, you’ll want to know that you should also check out the Amazon Echo Dot, which is also an Amazon device, and also has built-in Bluetooth and WiFi capabilities.
The Echo Dot is a Bluetooth speaker, but unlike the Blaze it has Bluetooth 4, Wi-FI, and other Bluetooth features.
If the Blaze isn’t for you, though, there are other options to choose from.
Amazon offers the Echo Dot in three colors, as well as black and grey, and they’re currently $349 for the black version and $449 for the white-on black version.
Amazon is also offering a Blaze-compatible version of its Alexa-enabled speaker, the Echo Pro, for $399.99 with free international shipping, but the Echo Pros are still not available for sale at the moment.
For the time being, the Blaze doesn’t have any Bluetooth connectivity, and Alexa doesn’t work with it.
You can find the Amazon Alexa-compatible Blaze router for sale on Amazon’s site, but if you don’t have the Blaze as a speaker, you can get a Bluetooth version of the Echo and Alexa, which can be purchased for $99 with the Echo Show app.
The Alexa-to Blaze router comes with Alexa, so it’s a good option if you’re looking to add Alexa to your home or business, and if you want Alexa to work with your devices and apps.
The two devices also have similar prices, but you should be aware that the Blaze is designed for smaller devices, and that Alexa will not work with the Blaze.
